The NSSA is owned and governed by its members through elected Directors, officers, and the Executive Committee. Full descriptions of each elected position and its responsibilities can be found in the NSSA Bylaws.
Board of Directors
National Directors are elected to two-year terms to represent each state, the armed forces, and European and Asian shooting associations. The number of Directors from each state is determined by the number of NSSA members in the state.
2012 is an election year for National Delegates, for the term November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2014. Any person who is interested in participating in the governance of NSSA is encouraged to consider a candidacy for National Delegate. Nomination forms must be returned to NSSA by midnight, March 31, 2012.

Officers
Officers are also elected to two-year terms to fill the positions of President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer. Officers for the term November 1, 2010 through October 31, 2012 are:
President – James M. Gast, Indiana
Vice President – Robert DeFrancesco, Connecticut
Secretary/Treasurer – John Tans, Wisconsin
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of the Officers (President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer), immediate Past President, and nine Committee persons elected from the Board of Directors, one from each zone. They serve two-year terms.
