Each of the nine NSSA zones holds a Zone Championship shoot each year. All zone skeet shoots are scheduled for the second full weekend of August each year, unless the Zone Executive Committee person has requested and been granted a waiver to hold the shoot at another time.
To get a waiver to the date requirement, the Zone Executive Committee person must submit a written request to the NSSA Director at HQ no later than September 30 of the preceding year. The request should state the alternate dates and the reason for the waiver request. The request will be reviewed by the Executive Committee, who will communicate their decision back to the requesting Zone by November 1 of that same year.
