‘First Shots’ for Wingshooting Clubs

New Email License Agreement Required

One of the most effective ways for clubs to inform members of upcoming registered shoots — and for members to learn about those events — is through email announcements. Likewise, associations conduct their business with members by email. Traditionally, NSSA-NSCA has made members’ email addresses available to member clubs and associations for those purposes. Skeet Referee Clinic at SA Gun Club

San Antonio Gun Club will host a Skeet Referee Clinic/Training Course on Saturday, February 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This clinic/training will cover: any new rules changes from NSSA referees use of the wand (standing positions/where to hold) 2013 referee test (free) and NSSA certification ($5) available to those who wish. Clubs Bid to Host 2014 Junior World

The Junior World Committee is seeking clubs to bid on hosting the 2014 Junior World Championship event. NSSA member clubs in the Eastern Zone (NSSA Zones 1 through 4) with at least eight skeet fields are invited to bid to become the host club for 2014. New NSSA-NSCA Privacy Policy

NSSA-NSCA recently adopted a new Privacy Policy that affects how we handle your contact information. An important change for both clubs and members is that we can no longer provide NSSA-NSCA members’ email addresses to clubs for promotion of registered shoots. Directors Vote on Two Ballots

National Director voting closed on Tuesday, December 4, on two ballot measures. Ballot #1 – NSSA Proposed Fee Increase – Passed Out of 121 total Directors, 112 ballots were returned, consisting of 93% participation, with 62 votes (51%) needed to make a change: 67 Agree – We should increase NSSA Target Fees from $.03 to $.04. 45 Disagree – We should not increase NSSA Target Fees from $.03 to $.04. Make Class Card Corrections

It’s important that your classification card accurately reflect your shoot records and other information. If you happen to find errors in your card, we want to help you get them corrected. Here’s what you should do: If a shoot is incorrectly reported, or not reported at all, the host club must report the change to us. Clubs Apply for Grants before 12/31

NSSA member clubs planning projects that will measurably grow the sport of skeet may receive grants from the association for their development. Clubs wishing to have their applications considered at January’s annual Executive Committee meeting must submit the applications before December 31.
