Zachary Kienbaum won his second consecutive championship last weekend, finishing as HOA at the Illinois State Championship at Northbrook Sports Club. Meanwhile, Derrick Mein was HOA of the Kansas State shoot at Claythorne Lodge, and Pat Lieske won the Michigan championship at Grand Blanc Huntsman’s Club.
Not only did Kienbaum finish at the top in consecutive tournaments, but he edged out runner-up Bill McGuire at both shoots. Gebben Miles finished third in the Illinois shoot. James Plumley was the Illinois Resident HOA, Brad Davis was runner-up, and Tommy Seibert was third. Overall Lady winner was Jessica Jacklin, and Resident Lady champion was Delenise S. Sneed. With a total of 234 shooters participating, 196 shot in the main event.
In the Kansas State Championship, Derrick Mein won both the HOA and Kansas Resident champion titles. Abel Spire was overall runner-up, and Mickey Lyn Roberts was third. Lady HOA was Diana Vasquez. Kevin Jacobson was Kansas Resident runner-up, and Phil Gibbs, Jr. finished third. A total of 285 shooters participated, 244 of whom shot the main event.
Both Illinois and Kansas events offered 50/50 Lewis Class options benefiting Team USA.
At the Michigan State Championship, Matt Houtteman was runner-up to Pat Lieske, and Drew Lieske took third place. Kim Marie Jones was the Lady Champion. Matt Houtteman also won the Preliminary shoot, and Pat Lieske won the FITASC event.
