Fun Shoots Begin This Thursday

Want to add a little friendly competition to your Thursday and Saturday shoots at the National Shooting Complex? This week we’re introducing “Fun Shoots” with Lewis Class option to our Open Public Shooting format, in lieu of our traditional spring league. The Fun Shoots will begin this Thursday, February 2 and run through Saturday, April 21, with a shooters’ social on Thursday, May 3.

Lewis Class options give everyone an equal chance of winning a purse. Scores are listed in descending order, and the list is divided into a predetermined number of classes. Lewis money is paid for the top score in each class. Here’s a more detailed description of how Lewis Class works.

Competition for the new Fun Shoots will be available in Skeet, Sporting Clays, and 5-Stand each Thursday and Saturday. Weekly sign-up in the Pro Shop is required. You can enter as many disciplines as you like, and Lewis Class option is available for $3.00 per discipline. For each entry, your name will be entered into a drawing for prizes to be given away at the May 3 social.
