
Voting has closed and results are in for NSCA’s 2012-13 National Delegates. You can see the list of new delegates and the voting results here. Each state’s number of delegates is determined by the number of NSCA members in that state. Terms are for two years. The newly-elected delegates assume office on January 1, 2012, and conclude December 31, 2013. National Delegates are very important to the governance of NSCA and the game of sporting clays, as they are responsible for making any changes in rules, regulations, and governance. Heavy rains and flooding in the Northeast have impacted the Zone 2 Sporting Clays Championship scheduled for this weekend at Blue Ridge Sportsmen’s Club in Harrisburg, PA, requiring the club to postpone the shoot. New dates will be considered at the club’s meeting on Tuesday, September 13. Not only is the club property flooded, but according to Steve Zimmers and Terry Fleegal of Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Club, local waterways are expected to be at or over flood stage through the weekend, making travel in the area unsafe. They also expect downed trees in the event of thunderstorms. Exposing new generations to the shooting sports and an active outdoor lifestyle is one of the greatest obstacles to the growth of our sport, and the NSCA has joined with some of the most dedicated advocates in the outdoors to address that challenge. The NSCA will be a sponsor of the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair, a three-day outdoor event focused on Education, Participation, Instruction, and Competition for the entire family, planned for September 23-25 near Atlanta, Georgia. NSCA National Delegate Ballots were mailed Friday August 5th. Please contact Glynne Moseley if you have not received your ballot by Monday August 15th. The NSCA National Delegate Ballot deadline has been extended to Friday August 26 at midnight CST. Write-in candidates are allowed and will be counted. As you vote remember the following points: 1) Only original ballots will be counted. Xerox copies of ballots will not be accepted. You may fax your original ballot to 210-688-3014 or scan and email your ballot to gmoseley@nssa-nsca.com 2) You may vote for the number of “Delegates to be elected” shown above, but voting for more than that number will void your ballot. 3) Election requires a nominee to receive at least five votes....
